Strategic Plan I
The first five years of Vakıf k12 (2015-20) have taught us a lot. We have learned that defining the problems correctly does not always mean that we can create the right solution, but that with every project we do, we make an important contribution and develop a better thought-out and prepared infrastructure for the next solution.
OKA Production Phase I
When developing the Reading Tree, we began creating various levels and outlining the differences and transitions between them. While establishing these levels, we tailored the vocabulary and subject choices to align with the thematic objectives of the classes and lessons. In the initial phase of OKA, we aimed to produce 80 books across 12 different levels and commenced work. Following the planning of the series in 2015, we started writing and completed the entire series in the first half of 2018.
SAGEP Production Phase I
The Virtual Field Trip Platform is designed to provide an enriched learning experience about important historical and cultural sites. The site includes curriculum-related learning designs and materials especially for middle and high school students. It is intended to serve all learners with its visual inventory and explanatory videos. To accomplish this, a visual archive was initiated in 2015 for the selection of buildings, which are predominantly based in Istanbul. Drone and ground shots of the identified buildings were captured.
Darüşaffaka
We started with the request of Darüşşafaka Educational Institutions to switch to iPad learning, and then served as the solution partner of the Transformation Strategic Plan of this institution. In the DEK Strategic Plan prepared by Darüşşafaka Educational Institutions, the DEK Education Philosophy and DEK Education Model were defined, and the work to be done in all areas was transformed into goals. The integration of technology and learning that we, as Vakıf k12, proposed as a result of our analysis became the main target and trigger of all school transformation efforts. You can see the titles of all transformation projects carried out in this joint work that lasted more than four years in the table below
MSGSÜ Workshop
In the field of technology and learning in the formation program opened for teachers by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2015. We conducted workshops for a total of eight hours. In these workshops, we presented examples of the use of tablets in the planning of learning and in the classroom. We shared our experiences in the classroom in the fields of tablet learning, online learning, technology and pedagogy with prospective teachers.
VKV Beykoz Middle School Workshop
Before the construction of Beykoz Koç Secondary School, built by Vehbi Koç Foundation as a model school, we held a workshop with teachers and administrators. We contributed to the technology and learning approach of a building designed according to today's needs.

Literature Platform
The Literature Platform analyzes the most important works of Turkish Literature. In addition to analyzing the books and showing students how to do this analysis, the platform also provides basic concepts of literature as learning material. This online platform has been a popular learning resource for students for the last eight years.
2017
DigitGame
Digit Game was the first Erasmus project we participated in as a partner. This project allowed students to design STEM games on the environment through video software. The project aims for students to design games, test their games and design an environmentally friendly city within the framework of STEM outcomes. In addition to scientific thinking and understanding ecological concepts, students learned how to use 21st century skills to disseminate learning and develop new thinking strategies. The game, designed according to the use of new tools on top of sharing information sources, was implemented in schools in Turkey and Italy in accordance with the curriculum.

TEV - TEVİTÖL
Upon the request of the Turkish Education Foundation, which manages and supports the Turkish Education Foundation İnanç Türkeş Private High School, we served as a solution partner in the design and implementation of the T21C programs with the efficient use of resources, technology and learning. The T21C program has been a very important and pioneering work in this sense with its web-based learning material and process design. In particular, the English program, which serves different levels in the same age group, and the thematic science program include many innovations in terms of content and implementation.
2019
OKA Türkiye Muğla
We first set out with the goal of sharing the Reading Tree on an online platform. With the request and initiative of the Muğla Provincial Directorate of National Education, we started the project to distribute the Reading Tree book sets to all primary schools in Muğla. The goal was to distribute the OKA sets to all schools and classrooms in Muğla. After a lot of hard work, we printed the books with the support of Ofset Printing House and the cooperation of TEV and Vakıf K12. With the intense efforts of volunteers and printing house employees, the books were collated into sets and transported to Muğla.
In October 2019, we distributed the books to all schools in Muğla as Vakıf k12 employees and volunteers. During this distribution, we had the opportunity to analyze the needs of schools and students one-on-one. We saw how much all stakeholders needed such opportunities and how eager they were to use these materials. These analyses have become an important guide for our future work.
MEB Weekly Course Schedules
We presented our views on the Ministry of National Education's revisions to the Weekly Course Schedules. In the meetings, we made presentations on the changes that should be made to the high school weekly course schedules and conveyed our idea of a deeper learning experience with fewer courses.
Strategic Plan II
We had set the second term of Vakıf k12 as 2020-23. In this period, we thought and worked more on sustainability, continuity and efficiency. We decided what steps we needed to take to take our structure and work into the next period. We made a strategic partnership with Edict Digital and moved the Reading Tree (OKA) book series to a digital reading platform. We produced a digital reading and learning platform that is fully compatible with the Ministry of National Education curriculum. In addition to OP(Reading Platform), we started to digitally transform other projects.
2020
OKA Production Phase II
During OKA Phase II, we added a new level (Level 3+) and increased the number of books in the series from 80 to 214. We included many stories on various topics such as animal rights, environmental issues, science and technology, and social responsibility across different levels of the series. In addition to expanding the book collection, we also initiated the production of the Fables series. This new series aims to help students learn idioms and proverbs, gain different perspectives, and enhance their ability to analyze them.
2021
Reading Platform Development
During the first quarter of the 21st century, online digital learning platforms have transformed the educational landscape by providing unrestricted access to learning materials and enabling individualized learning regardless of time and location. One such platform is the Reading Platform, which offers online access to a wide range of books. This allows students to read their assigned books at different levels and times, enhancing their reading experiences. Additionally, the platform provides learning resources and materials tailored to the learning outcomes of the Ministry of National Education (MEB) for all available books.
2022
Tanzimat
The initial phase of the Tanzimat project was finished in 2018-19, and we have now started translating new books and updating the online platform. The platform's goal is to showcase significant events, books, and ideas from the Tanzimat period within the context of Westernization in modern Turkish language.
Mathematics 8
In addition to the content, this application, which we aim for students to realize their own learning, was produced for 8th grade students. The fact that the application monitors the student's performance and identifies the areas that need improvement, provides reports to the student in this direction, and plans the next learning has set a good example as a digital learning application. In addition to the content, the online lessons and videos produced by Zeynep Yıldırım supported learning, making the application more widely used. Edict Digital undertook the software development of the Kazanırım application after the Reading Platform.
Strategic Plan III
With the evaluation we made at the end of this period and the strategic plan we created, we planned the next three years (2024-2027) as the 3rd period of Vakıf k12. Below we share the general framework of our strategic plan.
2023
OP Schools
With the launch of the Reading Platform, it has become easier to distribute Reading Tree books to students online. As Vakıf k12, we have reached public school students in different regions and provided free access to the platform.
FUCIN
FuCIn promotes active citizenship through collaborations between students and local policy makers with the common goal of developing and communicating sustainable and green local policies within the EGD framework. As emerging technology becomes pervasive in students' lives, it is essential to promote and reinforce social and active engagement strategies, leveraging themes they consider important and promoting languages that are natural and appropriate for them.
