Strategic Plan

The first five years of Vakıf k12 (2015-20) taught us a lot. We have learned that defining the problems correctly does not always mean that we can create the right solution, but with every project we do, we make an important contribution and develop a better thought out and prepared infrastructure for the next solution.We had set the second term of Vakıf k12 as 2020-23. In this period, we thought and worked more on sustainability, continuity and efficiency. We decided what steps we needed to take to take our structure and work into the next period. We made a strategic partnership with Edict Digital and moved the Reading Tree (OKA) book series to a digital reading platform. We produced a digital reading and learning platform that is fully compatible with the Ministry of National Education curriculum. In addition to OP(Reading Platform), we started to digitally transform other projects With the evaluation we made at the end of this period and the strategic plan we created, we planned 2024-2025 as the 3rd period of Vakıf k12. Below we share the general framework of our strategic plan.

Language and Reading Culture

To improve the language and reading culture of 3-10 year old students with the Reading Platform and to enable them to discover written culture through stories,

and to contribute to becoming individual learners using 21st century tools.

Mathematical Thinking

To improve the abstract mathematical thinking skills of 5-13 year old students with the Mathematics Platform,

using 21st century tools to help them understand mathematics in life and achieve self-learning.

Culture and Life

To improve students perception of history and aesthetics, develop their literary culture, and contribute to their work analysis skills through learning platforms with cultural content,

to comprehend the connections between the Tanzimat period and the works of this period and the historical process through learning platforms with cultural content.

21ST Century Education Ecosystem

To strengthen the foundation`s knowledge and partnership ecosystem through School Restructure Consultancy and European Union Projects to provide recognition to the foundation through international cooperation and collaborations,

to facilitate the transition of schools to the 21st century learning ecosystem and the use of technology.

Preschool (5-6 years)

  • 1.Start of R&D and Design (June 2025)
  • 2.Creating book production teams (author - illustrator - graphic designer)

Reading Platform

Primary School 1-4. Class

  • 1. Reading Platform to meet with 20,000 private school students and 100,000 public school students.
  • 2. Writing scenarios where students can use the points they earn on the platform and completing the user-interactive gamified point earning - spending process software (September 2024)
  • 3. Completion of learning designs for all books (August 2025)
  • 4. All learning materials designed, graphicized and produced as next generation (August 2025)

Mathematical Thinking

To improve the abstract mathematical thinking skills of students aged 5-13 with the Mathematics Platform, using 21st-century tools to help them understand mathematics in life and achieve self-learning.

Primary School

  • 1. Research and analysis of programs, platforms, application processes and contents + approaches used in Turkish and international schools (June 2024)
  • 2. Formation of the team to create content, business modeling and training according to the chosen approach (January 2025)
  • 3. Writing 1,500 new generation questions/problems for 6-10 year old students, consisting of real scenarios and connected to life for each age group. (June 2025)
  • 4. Extract software processes, create connections with other applications and platforms, write platform version 1 (June 2025)
  • 5. Writing the mobile app (April 2026)

Mathematics Platform

Middle School

  • 1. Writing 5 thousand new generation questions for each age group that develop skills and mathematical thinking and form the basis of LGS exam preparations for Grades 5, 6 and 7 (April 2026)
  • 2. Formation of the team to create content, business modeling and training according to the chosen approach (April 2025)
  • 3. Writing the mobile app (September 2026)

Culture and Life

  • 1. Complete missing visual and information content of target buildings (January 2025)

Literature

  • 1. Writing a new version of the existing learning platform for literature (September 2024)
