Teacher & Students
In the Foundation's second term strategic plan, we aimed to participate in European Union Erasmus projects as a partner. We knew that it was very important to expand our network of knowledge and experience in this way. Working together with stakeholders from different countries working in the same field contributed a lot to us in terms of technology and learning as well as producing content.
DIGITGAME
DigitGame was the first Erasmus project we participated in as a partner. This project allowed students to design STEM games on the environment through video software. The project aims for students to design games, test their games and design an environmentally friendly city within the framework of STEM outcomes. In addition to scientific thinking and understanding ecological concepts, students learned how to use 21st century skills to disseminate learning and develop new thinking strategies. The game, designed according to the use of new tools on top of sharing information sources, was implemented in schools in Turkey and Italy in accordance with the curriculum.
FUCIN
FuCIn promotes active citizenship through collaborations between students and local policy makers with the common goal of developing and communicating sustainable and green local policies within the EGD framework. As emerging technology becomes pervasive in students' lives, it is essential to promote and reinforce social and active engagement strategies, leveraging themes they consider important and promoting languages that are natural and appropriate for them. To achieve this goal, FuCIN will implement activities addressing the following main needs identified:
- Developing young citizenship and participation in democratic life.
- Increase students' skills, making them ready to face environmental challenges.
